1. Maintain the right temperature in your home:
The comfort temperatures are in winter between 20 and 23 degrees and in summer between 22 and 25 degrees. Digital thermostats can help maintain an adequate temperature when you put heating or air conditioning.
2. Turn off appliances in stand-by
The appliances in “stand by” do not stop consuming energy, according to OVACEN (https://ovacen.com/), a portal specialized in energy efficiency and architecture, consuming 10.6% when the appliances are in stand by (unemployed ).
3. Time discrimination
Depends on the hours we consume energy costs increase or decrease. It is important to take advantage of the valley hours. Antonym at peak times, refers to the hours in which there is a lower consumption or use.
– In winter, the peak hours are from 12: 00h to 22: 00h and the valley hours from 22: 00h to 12: 00h.
– In summer, the peak hours are from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and the valley hours from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
4. Change the LED bulbs
LED bulbs are more energy efficient than low-energy bulbs because their useful life is 3 times longer. The cost of the LED bulb is higher than that of the other bulbs, but what is certain is the energy saving and therefore a reduction in the electricity bill.
